Arranging a commission

  • If you are interested in arranging a commission, then please contact me through the contact page on our website or email me at clare@thelyonsartroom.co.uk.  I would be delighted to discuss your request and answer any questions you may have.

 

  • I usually work from one main photo, but providing additional photos will give me a better understanding of your pet's features and colours, as well as help me capture their unique personality. For tips on taking high-quality reference photos, please click here.

 

  • After receiving your photos, we will go over the details, and I will begin developing a composition.

 

  • Once the composition is approved, I kindly ask for a non-refundable 25% deposit to secure your place on the waiting list.

 

  • When I am ready to start working on your painting, I will notify you via email. Each painting takes between 2 to 6 weeks to complete depending upon the size, background detail, and number of subjects in the painting.

 

  • After completing your painting, I will send you a photo of the finished piece for your approval.  I will only send the invoice for the final payment once you are completely satisfied with the artwork.

 

  • Upon receiving your payment, I will arrange for delivery through Royal Mail's special tracked service.

 

  • If you decide not to go ahead with the final payment for the artwork, you are under no obligation to buy.  However, the deposit is non-refundable, and in this situation I reserve the right to reproduce the artwork for any purpose.
